Last Chance to register for OSP Asia

Charles Cleveland | OSP Asia Moderator
Over the last several weeks, we have been fortunate to have in our school, 14 foreign exchange students from St. Ignatius High School in Taipei.
The generosity and hospitality of the host families and our students has been exemplary.  We now turn our attention to providing our students the opportunity to travel to Asia.

As part of Belen's desire and commitment to expose our students to the international and global community, your son can take part in the Overseas Study Program Asia tour of China and Taiwan this summer, in order to learn more about the culture of this great region. Included in this tour is a visit to St. Ignatius High School in Taipei, as well as visit Beijing, Shanghai, Hualien, and Sun Moon Lake.  The tour is open to all Belen students and their families. Dates of travel are June 12-22. There are only 15 spots left on the second bus and the deadline is February 20th. If interested please contact Mr. Cleveland at ccleveland@belenjesuit.org.

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
