Youth Rally, Concert Coming to Campus

Robert Artiz | Director of Campus Ministry
The only thing better than a good concert is an opportunity where you get to enjoy great music, and a special kind of fellowship and worship for young and old alike!

Belen alumni Javier “Kenji” Martinez ‘13 and CJ Cristobal ‘16 are returning to their old stomping grounds with their Christian band, “The Call.” Campus ministry is proud to present “Christ Nation RISE UP!” on Tuesday, November 14.

The event promises to be a spiritually charged Christian music worship experience beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the heart of our campus, the Garrido Family Plaza. The Belen community is encouraged to attend. Families and friends are welcome. Admission is free and students from all of our local schools, youth & young adult groups are being encouraged by the Archdiocese Youth Ministry Office, our campus ministry team and members of the band to join us for a night of worship and fun.

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
