Major Gift Announcement: Peter Montadas ‘76 and Family
Teresa Martinez | Director of Communications
Belen Jesuit is excited to announce that Peter Montadas ‘76 and his family have pledged a major gift towards fulfilling the goals outlined in the 2022 Strategic Plan. This significant gift is intended to advance the vision and direction of the school.
“For as long as I can remember, Peter has supported his alma mater,” said Fr. Willie ‘87. “His generosity extends beyond financial contributions including an abundance of time, his passion and fierce loyalty. Peter is an active member of the Belen Alumni Association, has mentored countless young alumni and has served on various committees. He lives the magis in his day-to-day life. Belen is immensely grateful to him and his family for their thoughtful and meaningful gift.”
Mr. Montadas currently serves as a member of the Belen Board of Advisors and is the founder and chair of the selecting and planning committee for the Belen Hall of Fame. He is a C-Suite Trusted Advisor and has over 30 years of experience specializing in Data & Analytics, Enterprise Digital Transformation, and Strategic Business and Technology Solutions.
“Belen will always have a special place in my heart,” said Peter Montadas ‘76. “The lessons I learned and the formation I received helped to make me the man I am today. I’ve been fortunate to work at the school as a teacher, volunteer as a parent and serve as an alumnus in various leadership roles. My family and I are blessed to have this opportunity to give back to such an important place in our lives and to help ensure its continued success in educating the leaders of tomorrow.”
Mr. Montadas has been married to Maria for 30 years. They have two children, Marissa and Antonio, who is a member of the class of 2015.
Their generosity is a testament to the value of a Jesuit education and a commitment to Belen's continued growth and development. Every gift received helps us fulfill the goals outlined in the Strategic Plan, and we plan to announce many more leadership-level pledges in the future.
We continue to strive for greatness and need your help in achieving our goal. If you would like to contribute to the school's vision, please contact Phil Fernández ’94 at ffernandez@belenjesuit.org or 305-804-7683.
Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain. The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline. In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty. The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow. Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
