I invite you to get to know us better by attending our annual Open House which will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017.  This is the perfect opportunity for you and your son to find out what Belen has to offer.  You will meet teachers, administrators, counselors, coaches, and alumni who will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have and share the unique and rich history of our school.  You will also tour the campus guided by members of the Faber Society who will share with you their experiences and what it means to be a “man for others.”  Registration is now open for either the morning or the afternoon session.

Incoming sixth and ninth graders are eligible to take the entrance exam which will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 for prospective sixth graders and Saturday December 9, 2017 for prospective ninth graders.  Pre-registration is required for both examinations and the deadline is 72 hours before the test.  Pre-registration opens Monday, September 18, 2017.  Please visit our website at www.belenjesuit.org/admissions  for more details on what is covered on the entrance exam and what are the requirements for admission.

Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
