Events Postponed due to Hurricane Irma

Due to Hurricane Irma, several events have been postponed. Here’s the list of events affected:
 
    • The Middle School Academic Awards ceremony originally scheduled for September 12 will now be held on Monday, September 25. The ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Ignatian Center for the Arts in the Roca Theater.
    • The School Counseling Department’s first Parent Workshop of this school year entitled: The Achievement Process scheduled for September 19 has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 26 at 8:00 a.m. in the Coscuellela Hall.
    • The High School Academic Awards ceremony originally scheduled for September 14 has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 3.  The ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Ignatian Center for the Arts in the Roca Theater.
    • The fall play "Moon Over Buffalo has been rescheduled from its original October show dates. The new dates are Faculty Preview Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. and shows Thursday, November 30, 2017, and Friday and Saturday December 1 and 2, 2017.  The time remains the same, 7:30 p.m. 
    • Grandparents Day originally scheduled for September 23 has been rescheduled. The new date is Saturday, March 17, 2018. We will be sending information in anticipation of the event.

    Belen Jesuit Preparatory School was founded in 1854 in Havana, Cuba by Queen Isabel II of Spain.  The task of educating students was assigned to the priests and brothers of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), whose teaching tradition is synonymous with academic excellence and spiritual discipline.  In 1961, the new political regime of Cuba confiscated the School property and expelled the Jesuit faculty.  The School was re-established in Miami the same year, and over the next decade, continued to grow.  Today, Belen Jesuit sits on a 30-acre site in western Dade County, only minutes away from downtown Miami.
